The following article appeared on the BBC News: ​http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-42192221. How would New Yorkers respond in a similar situation?

In New York if someone comes on the train with smelly socks someone might tell them nicely that they need to change their socks .if someone was mean enough they will tell them off and everything and curse them out but if this happened in New York the police will probably take you to prison .if you had smelly socks on people will cover their nose and look at you and everything and talk about you and say you need your hygiene clean and stop wearing smelly socks.
