Think about the community in which you live. Think about what you could do to make it a better place. Write a letter to the mayor describing how solving this problem would make your community a better place. Tell what you would do. Give reasons why you think your plan would work.
Think of something important you’ve learned about human relationships, and write an article describing what you learned, how you learned it, and how it could benefit others.
According to the DOE curriculum for preschools, this month’s unit theme is babies. By the end of the unit, children should understand that human babies need special food and care; animal babies need special food and care; there are similarities and differences in the ways babies are cared for; and all babies grow.
What are some activities you can do to support this learning? How can we help small children learn about babies? You work for a small dog daycare and grooming company. You have held the same position, dog walker, for over three years. Your boss, Mercedes, tells you that you will now be working the front desk, meeting with customers and answering the phone. This is not in your current job description. You know that being flexible will help you become a more valuable employee but are not sure about taking on this job. You are very shy and like working only with the dogs. You have a hard time making small talk with strangers. How will you handle this request? What can you do? What can Mercedes do?
Think about all the school year-end celebrations you have experienced or heard about. For example, field days, bowling parties, dances, etc. What ideas and preferences do you have for one? List as many as you can.
How alike are you and your friends? What kinds of beliefs, traits, interests and dislikes do you share with them — if any at all? Think about who your closest friends are. In what ways are you similar? In what ways are you different?
